How To Go On One Of Our Treasure Hunts
HoCo Pirate Adventures has monthly treasure hunts, April through December. They normally start on a Saturday and go through the next Sunday (9 days total), but may be extended if there are days off school on the front or back ends. The calendar of dates for the hunts can be found here on our website.
When the hunt starts, it will be available for purchase on our website. We will make an announcement that it's available via social media (Facebook and Instagram), as well as by sending out an email to everyone who has joined our mailing list.
After you purchase the hunt, you will get an email with PDF files to print out. These files include:
- Information about where the hunt starts
- Instructions for grownups on how to do the hunt
- A message from Sea Captain Evie and Captain Sawyer to your pirates explaining their mission
- A map to follow to find the clues and the treasure chest
- A puzzle sheet that the pirates will use the clues to decode
- A cheat sheet of clue locations, clue solutions, and the password for grownups, in case things get difficult on the trail
Your purchase includes THREE LEVELS OF CLUES - Beginner, Intermediate, and Expert. Pick the one that's right for your pirate to print out. Once you do, all you need to do is head to the start location and follow the map to the five clues that will give you the password to the Treasure Chest!
